- Editor's Notes
- "We enclose you hereiwth three notes for endorsement. The two for the sum of $3500 each, are for the Corning Glass Works, and the one for $2500 is in place of another of same amount which the German National Bank of Newark discounted for us, which we have paid. You will kindly endorse all three of these notes personally, our Mr. Upton will endorse the one for $2400 in addition to your personal endorsement. The notes and endorsements are the same as has been customary for the past two years. ### We drew down our bills payable $10,000 during the month of Jan'y, and we will reduce them about $6000 this month. We have no bills over sixty days old, and feel that we have nearly past what promised to be a very critical point if anything went wrong." Yours truly, Edison Lamp Co. by Francis R. Upton [Marginalia: "Handed to [unclear] messenger Feb 20/88 AOT" "OK E"]
