- Editor's Notes
- "You will probably have noticed reference in the columns of the daily press to our recent fire here, which resulted in the complete destruction of our foundry. While, of course, such a disaster cannot but cause us great inconvenience, we beg to assure you that it will not prevent us from filling our orders with reasonable promptness. A number of the patterns destroyed we have duplicates of, and the others are being replaced as quickly as our own extended facilities, and those of a number of our friends will permit. ### We have obtained the use of a foundry right near our works, and are thus afforded the facilities for getting out such castings as we urgently need, pending the rebuilding of our own foundry, work on which has already been commenced." Samuel Insull
