Title

[D8835AER], Letter from John Kruesi to Charles Batchelor, October 22nd, 1888

Editor's Notes

"Some time back we received a very small sample of Insulation, and turned same over to Mr. Phillips. It was so small, however, that we were unable to use it in our machine, and we have been waiting to receive a further lot before experimenting with it. We will try it tomorrow and see what can be done with that which we have and will then let you know the result. The writers impression is, however, that the result cannot be very good, inasmuch as the conditions are very different from what they would be had we sufficient material to keep the machine full for a short time. It will also be difficult to regulate the temperature, because it passes through the machine so quickly, and the result appears to be dependent upon having the right temperature to properly work the material." Yours very truly, John Kruesi
