- "Further referring to your favor of the 26th. Of November, with relation to the Insulating material sent us under date of November 22nd., we beg to say in answer to your four questions, as follows: ### First: It is quite hard enough. ### Second: It would be better if the melting point was slightly higher. ### Third: There appears to be sufficient fire-proofing material in it. ### Fourth: We have not yet experimented. ### The trouble with this Compound appears to be in the fact that it will not liquefy, consequently will not penetrate the cotton thread. Can you not supply us with something that will be more liquid in the melted state?"
