Title
[D8845ADU], Letter from William Preston Hix to Thomas Alva Edison, September 27th, 1888
Editor's Notes
"I returned from Phila last night. Mr. Edward Roberts will arrange to have the following gentlemen come with him to Orange to investigate the Iron Ore Milling viz:- A Pardee, Mr. Fell, Wesley [unclear] and [unclear] Taylor. Any of these gentlemen can take all the stock we may want them to provided we convince them that our system is practicable and commercial. They all own interest in New Jersy mines. They will telegraph me the day before they start and I will telegraph you. I can't find Starkweather of Cleveland Ohio in any of the Merchantile agencies." Yours Hix "I will try to come over tomorrow." [TAE m arginalia: "OK E"]
