Title
[D8845AFL], Letter from John Birkinbine to Thomas Alva Edison, November 8th, 1888
Editor's Notes
"I have gone over the matter of the programme for the Annual Meeting of the United States Association of Charcoal Iron Workers with the Committee, and it has been decided to accept your invitation to visit the Laboratory, see the ore concentration, etc, on Thursday afternoon December 8th. About Thanksgiving Day the approximate number who will attend will be sent to you. It strikes me that it would be a good plan to have the party dome out by the New York and Greenwood Lake R.R. about 1 or 2 P.M. returning at 6 or 7 P.M. but the exact time could be arranged to suit your convenience, and of this I can write to you in the future." Yours truly, John Birkinbine
