[D8845AFO], Letter from William Halsted Wiley to Alfred Ord Tate, November 10th, 1888
Editor's Notes
"I am much obliged for your letter of 9th I enclose one from my friend [unclear]. ### He will go to England shortly + I know will be in a position to be of service to Mr. Edison as he will go to Woolwich & will be well received. ### He simply wants to do a friend a farm & I t will be decidely to Mr. Edison's interest to favor him. ### I think Mr. Edison almost promised him but knowing how much Mr. Edison has to attend to, I feel quite sure unless you interest yourself nthing will result [unclear] is modest & Edison busy. ### Will you please attend to this & let me know your conclusions . I am rather inclining to the view that I shall have to go over + straighten out matters on the 'Ore Separator.' I am not pleased at all pleased with the shape they are in. If it proves necessary, then I shall look to you to see what basis the Edison Co. would case to arrange this. ### Personaly, I don't want to go, but if it becomes necessary, I shall want you to make new [unclear] of a proposition. ### We understand it is not salary, that I [unclear] consider in any place you folks would, it is simply a matter of expensses. I should have had a machine when I went first, instead of a photograph." Yours truly, WH Wiley
