- Editor's Notes
- "Yours of Nov. 13 recd will you kindly allow Mrs Wiley to draw $20. weekly + let the balance place to my credit-If I exceed L6 weekly I'll notify you in my statements which I will forward after Mr. Dredge looks them over. Its very expensive here especially as I have had to use cabs so much not being able to get around but I have most generally been within my limit of $30 weekly I must ask again for a set of blue prints of the ore separator in place of those I accidently burned up also a tracing of the apparatus giving some dimensions for the contractors to go by I have moved the stuff from Crystal Palace to Vantins Gold Co's Yard in the city + carefully boxed it up a covered with Canvass + sealed so no one can see it I was amused at Col. Gourauds telling me yesterday that he never advocated the Palace as a place to exhibit it. He was just the one who took me to see the President of the Association He is a [unclear] but he never put me to sleep. I trust you are well + happy -If I can get you anything here in the way of gloves + let me know they are very cheap here with regards to all." Yours truly, O.S. Wiley "Of course if I exceed the 6 L weekly I charge this over to salary a/c"
