"Yours 24th enclosing check for $1000.00 was received while I was north hence delay in acknowledging same. Enclosed please find receipt we expect now to start up about latter part of next week-the greatest delay now bing on the dynamo-which has just been stripped from machine works--all the heavy machinery in placed + ready to me and as soon as the seperator + dynamo are complete we will be able I hope to send you some good reports:- Was very glad to learn that you escaped serious accident in the [unclear] Presume it was the same horse that ran with men when I was east last:- with kindest regards to the Edison + yourself-I am yours, W.S.
