[D8845AHG], Letter from Henry Exall to William Preston Hix, December 3rd, 1888
Editor's Notes
"Mr. E.P. Cowan has just shown me your letter 26th Nov. addressed to him at St. Louis. ### I am now organizing a large Company to build Iron Furnances and Iron works at [unclear] Texas and your letter attracts my attention. Please write me fully. ### Does your machine treat the natural ore. That is, the ore just as it came from the mine. ### Does it leave it in a Merchantable Shape, such as pig iron. ### Write me fully just what your machinery will accomplish and whether or not the regular Iron furnace-Coke or charcoal-will have to be used also. ### If your machine will reduce the natural ore you have just what we want. ### Write me fully and send me your catalogues, [unclear]. ### I enclose some printed matter giving you an idea of what we have in Iron resources in Plano [?] Texas." Yours, Henry Exall
