Title
[D8847AAX], Letter from S Park Lathrop to Charles Batchelor, June 16th, 1888
Editor's Notes
"The ladies of Montclair are arranging an entertainment and fair to be held on the 29th & 30th of the present month. The proceeds of same will be donated to "The Fresh Air Fund" for the relief of the poor and sick mothers and children of New York. ### I am interested in seeing the labors of the ladies succeed, and I desire to obtain for them, one or two phonographs, for exhiibt at their fair, believing that its novely would secure good returns in the shape of cash for the fair. ### Can you favor the undertaking by loaning the Phonographs for above two days? And could you provide anything in the way of music (that has been played) or remarks or comments of some persons of note" Awaiting your answer, I am yours truly, S. Park Lathrop "P.S. I write you at the suggestion of Mr. Livor of Edison Mfg Co" [Marginalia: "Referred to Mr. Edison" "OK Did it"]
