- Editor's Notes
- "Your favor of the 3r inst is at hand, and I was glad to hear from you. ### I wrote to Gilliland at the same time I wrote you and from what he said, I hardly thought he had made final arrangements for his state, and if he has not, I am sure we can do better with the Phonograph than any body else as we are well known all over the state and known as Edison people, and have local agents in every city in the state. Business is quite good sold 1750 lights to one man 950 to another 50 to another 450 to another last week, 300 yesterday and can see a whole lot ahead. ### Never believed in doing very well at the New York office, and avoid it as much as possible. ### If you should ever happn in our neighborhood, my wife and myself should be glad to see Mrs. Tate and you and will give you something to eat and a place to sleep." Your friend Hughes
