- Editor's Notes
- "When the phonograph question was about assuming such shape as to warrant the belief that it would soon be ready for the public I had an application in with Gilliland for Maryland, including Dist Columbia. Later he wrote me that my paper had been turned voer to the new owners with favorable mention and advised my writing them. This I did but have never rec'd a word or line from him or them since. I put in some preliminary work. Got the cuts in prominent players with interviews, anicdotes etc copies of which I sent you an thought I was at least entitled to something besides "silence long drawn out." ### Can you give me any light upon the subject or advise what further steps if any I should take in the matter? If you can do so and will kindly dtrop me a line I will appreciate it. Are you likely to be at Orange during the first part of January and could I see you by calling? ### Wishing you and yours a merry Xmas, Happy New Year and many more in the future"
