- Editor's Notes
- "In behalf of the Commissioners of the Centennial Exposition of the Ohio Valley and Central States, [Cincinnati] I would respectfully request that you make an exhibition of your phonograph at said Exposition, and in behalf of Mr. M. Gardner, U.S. Govt. Represent for the Department of the Interior, I also request that you use the space of the U.S. Patent Office for said exhibition. ### The Patent Office exhibit is beautifully located and Mr. Gardner will be at great pains and take much pleasure in affording you every facility possible. ### I have just received a letter from the Commissioners of the Exposition with reference to this matter, and they are exceedingly anxious that you make an exhibit. There is no question about the beneficial results to you, and I sincerely hope that you will take immediate steps to carry out the plan." TAE arginalia: "Refd to Gilliland"]
