- Title
- [D8849ABC], Letter from Horace J Smith to Thomas Alva Edison, August 18th, 1888
- Editor's Notes
- "You will doubtless be pleased to know that your Phonograms, placed in Mrs. Jarley [?] Wax Works, have worked admirably--see accompanying exerpt--a combination I trust you will give me a monopoly of. At least it added a new funnines to the even funny Was Works, whose action "Steady by jerks" with the phonogramic combination produced renewed roars of laughter. ### The only charge I make to you for giving you this advertisement is that you favor me with your autographic acknowledgement."
