Title
[D8850AAT], Letter from George Edward Gouraud to Thomas Alva Edison, February 23rd, 1888
Editor's Notes
"Unless your first phonogram should have left before this reaches you, or be ready to come by the following mail, I wish you would be kind enough to talk me a talk into the phonograph and let some clerk--not a stenographer--write it out so I may give publicity to the fact that I have received the first phonograph letter, which, coming before the phonogram proper, will give us several hundred thousand dollars worth of extra advertising. Please do not fail to do this, as I understand you have a phonograph in your laboratory which will enable you to do so." Gouraud
