- Editor's Notes
- "I have just had an interview with my Russian friend a telegraph official in regard to the Phonoplex and beg to say to you that the latter thinks very favorably of the invention and is very anxious to give it a trial on the Baltic R.R. accuring me that if the instrument answers the purpose you claim for it, its general adoption in Russia can only be a question of time. ### I therefore request you again to supply me with a set of instruments as soon as convenient to you. ### I have written an article on the new phonograph for the 'Berliner Tageblatt' the largest paper in this country and for which I contribute occasionally and shall mail you a copy of the papers containing the article in question." Sincerely yours, Armin Tenner "P.S. I should very much like to decorate the walls of my office West photographs of your Laboratory." [TAE Marginalia: "Send photogh + say we can at any time send regular phonoplex but the device for working the ink recorder we have trouble with. Iit seems to me they could use phonoplex for ordinary RR talking biz [and] the Morse for messages that must be recorded. Suggest this to Tenner"]
