"Enclosed you will find a bill for this sandstone mantel which stands in the Library of your Laboratory. I have ventured to call your attention to this matter several times but have as yet received no response whatever. I trust this will receive your attention I need the money, and shall unless I hear from you draw for it, if for no other reason to assure myself that your attention has been called to the matter."
