- Editor's Notes
- "I cannot understand why you continue to neglect my account. I hold a letter from you--dated Apr. 21st apologzing for neglecting my account and promising to pay the following week. This is nearly a month past, and yet I have not received any further communication from you. ###I would think my [unclear] of this was I not for the [unclear] that I went on my account with Mr. Edison. He said I was perfectly satisfactory and requested me to send it [unclear] by mail, so it would not be forgotten. ### I have intended to speak to him about it, when out seeing about the new building, but, owing to my interest in that work I have forgotten it. ### Mr. Edison offered to pay my account last fall, and as I did not need the money at that time I told Mr. Edison he could keep it until I wanted it. ### That time is now very urgent, I have made certain acquisitions depending upon this account to pay them, and must now request the pay [unclear] week. ### I wrote all this in full that you may understand the matter, and if necessary refer to Mr. Edison. ### Trusting you will attend to this at once."
