- [D8855ACD], Letter from Arthur Edwin Kennelly to Alfred Ord Tate, November 26th, 1888
- Editor's Notes
- "I have read parts of the book entitled 'Electric Lighting' by P. Atkinson among these and the description of the Edison three-wire system, as you desired. I consider that not only this particular description but the entire work gives a clear and practical account of the latest development of the Science and art dealt with, such as would be suitable for the requirements of practical men not acquainted with the subject, or for students taking up the matter for the first time, it is not I think in any way adapted to supply advanced students; the details being meagre and the developments of which the various subjects are capable being absent. ### The books most serious detractions are I consider its numerous theoretical inaccuracies which however it is only fair to say, are principally confied to the introductory chapter." Yours very faithfully, A.E. Kennelly
