[D8856AAW], Letter from Fauth & Co to Thomas Alva Edison, January 11th, 1888
Editor's Notes
"We will ship your instruments before the end of this month. We give herewith the necessary data's should you decide to built pairs [?] for them. The Equatorial x siderial [?] clock ought to have them, for the spectrometer and chromograph substantial tables or brackets would answer. The clock may be reinvented -- in the absence of a stone pair, -- against a 4 x 15 in plank, to which another one is secured T fashioin; this plant should extend 7 feet above the floor; the [unclear] back of the clock measures 18 x 60 inches. ### The Equatorial requies a circular base 20 in diameter. ### The Chromograph requires a 12 x 24 in; we genearlly mount them on a bracket against the wall. ### The Spectrometer requires a platform 22in x 22in. We are going North with other instruments about the time we ship yours and if you have no objections would prefer to set yours up too." Yours resply Fauth & Co [Marginalia: "Ans Jan 11/88"]
