- Title
- [D8856ACD], Letter from Greeley (E.S.) & Co, Miles W Goodyear to Thomas Alva Edison, February 16th, 1888
- Editor's Notes
- "I send you by Mr. Gilliland an improved 'Photoscope' which I recently discovered. I find it a very economical and accurate instrument for the measurement of light; that is, if you wish to determine whether a certain space is properly lighted, without going to the expense of carrying thither some $450.00 worth of intricate apparatus, you can accomplish this result with the simple instrument herewith. You will know when the lighting is properly done by the stiffness of the shadow. ### Mr. Gilliland, who has seen it work, can explain the matter fully." Yours truly, M.W. Goodyear
