Title

[D8856ACR], Letter from Ansonia Brass and Copper Co, Alfred Abernethy Cowles to Thomas Alva Edison, April 23rd, 1888

Editor's Notes

"In reply to your request I send you by express to-day a sample of carbonate ore. I do not remember whether it came from the Copper Queen mine or not, but it is the only sample of carbonata I have on hand at present, and I think one sample will be as good as another for the purpose you mention. ### Our Mr. Schweizer says that he sent you two [ucnearl] a few days ago, and a letter of explanation as to their adaptation to the phonograph. ### When you are ready to take down piano-forte music, I can get one of the best pianists in America to play for the instrument, if you would like to have me and will appoint a day and hour for us to go to Orange." I remain, Very resp'ly yours, A.A. Cowles [Marginalia: "Where is the Clox & ore--Write and say we'll notify him when ready in re [illeg]"
