- Editor's Notes
- I hoped to have seen you on the occasion of the visit from those interested in the Phonograph Co but I learned that you were absent. Write thanking you very much for the kind report and attention to Jameson's Battery -- I wished to ask you what you think of it? Is it a discovery worthy of being followed up? And do you regard it worthy of your attention and of the advantages your appliances possess for its development? Jameson of course believes to be able be improved from of Lead, to obtain as good results with 1/3d of the might --this still leaves it 5 times as inefficient or rather only 1/5th of the efficiency of the test chemical battery -- and he claims as much ten [------] [---------]. If you deem it really in the line of practical value, efficient to enlist your aid I will bother with--otherwise not--I have no real interest or preference as yet.
