I think that the answer suggested by Higgins' letter is (that TAE has himself experimented in the same direction) that he considers the direction is open to success, and that although Jameson's battery owing to its low efficiency has at present no commercial value, if it were sufficiently improved upon it would have a very wide field of utility. The only question is whether Jameson's will succeed in effecting the necessary degree of improvement. {"Mr Edison Do you approve AOT" written on back]:
