Summary: This is a letter from George Hartwell to A.O Tate, conveying his congratulations to Edison on the Bate decision, notifying and thanking him for his receipt of the London Illustrated News, with an account of the Phonograph. Hartwell inquires whether it is true, as the papers report, that Edison is going to winter in Fort Meyers Fla., and if so when is he leaving? He wants to see Edison about some matters.
