- Editor's Notes
- Detroit Michigan Feb 13th 89 Friend Alva About ten days ago I wrote you a personal letter asking a favor and as yet have not had any reply--you may think it not worth the trouble of a reply, but I can not think you would so soon forget the past time when I let you have all I had as long ago as 1866 when you started from Port Huron a friend to call on you and now when I wrot eyou I don't even receive a reply--Alva. If you received that letter will you be kind enough to tell me what you think of it. I don't think it reached you or I should have an answer. As ever your old friend, Jas.
