- Title
- [D8905ACH], Letter from Sherburne Blake Eaton to Thomas Alva Edison, March 21st, 1889
- Editor's Notes
- Re Smead. I have this day received from Smead his promise in writing to stop using the name of Edison. He agrees not to use the name of Edison either with or without any other name, promising to drop that name entirely from his business. Under these circumstances, we will not commence legal proceedings. Whether he will keep his promise or not of course I cannot tell, but if you hear of his using the name of Edison again, kindly let me know and I will stop it.
