- [Ans May 20/89] [Batch or Tate marg: ans by Telephone & by letter May 20/89] You ought to go-- I will if possible--But I am hard pressed just now. The Sprague part of the deal is now being consummated--& Whitney of Boston is this week deciding as between us & the T & H with the chance so much in favor of the T& H that I am imperatively summoned to Boston. Beside all this my two youngest are very sick one with a compound of the whooping cough and measles. Nevertheless if I can be of any real service I will go Yours EHJ [TAE marg: Its no use your going , better attend to Boston Business-- We are giving undue importance to the Case anyway Edison]
