Title
[D8905AFM], Letter from Wilhelm von Siemens, Siemens and Halske to Thomas Alva Edison, August 28th, 1889
Editor's Notes
My dear Sir, Your letter to my father reached here a few days ago and has been at once forwarded by me to this present place of stay at the seaside where he has gone for the benefit of his health.## My father has since written me acknowledgging its receipt and also expressing his pleasure at you having accepted his invitation. So it appears, however, that you did not state whether you intended to proceed to Heidelberg or to Berlin, according to the suggestions contained in the Postscript of my father's letter to you of the 12th instant, he has requested me to write you in order to clear up the point. I shall feel extremely obliged, therefore, if you would kindly inform me at your earlierst convenience at which of the two places referred to you intend to arrive first in order to prevent all possibility of disappointment.
