- Title
- [D8905AGG], Letter from Gaston Tissandier to Thomas Alva Edison, September 21st, 1889
- Editor's Notes
- Gaston Tissandier is touched by Edison's courteous letter which he wrote before leaving Paris, and thanks him a thousand time for the amiable thought with which he has asked him for his photograph, which he will send later. He desires a photograph of Edison listening to his marvelous phonograph, as well as his autograph. As an old Parision, Gaston affirms that Paris has always been the uppermost in works of science and art and intelligence, which is why it wished to receive Edison as they would a king.
