- I enclose herewith copy of a patent for an Electric Car Brake, Mr. Hinkley the inventor is a resident of this ity, it has occure to him that in view of the competition between the Edison Electric Light Co, and the Westinghouse Elec light Co, that the Edison people feel disposed to look into the matter, that Hinkley thinks will knock air brakes sky high. I have no personal knowledge of the patent, ------but I know Mr. Hinley---he must have a good thing----Will you please write me what you think of it---- very truly yours, P.B Shaw P.S. The Westinghouse people are building a plant in this city, which they claim will have twice the capacity of our Edison o and double the economy: I shall soon be looking for a job.
