- Dear Sir, I learn from a letter received this day from my father, Mr. Courtney Schenk, who resides in Paris and has some business relations with Mr. Ferdinand De Lesseps, that the son of Mr. Eiffel, the constructor of the Eiffel Tower, is in this country. I am desirous to communicate with him, and if possible, to learn his whereabouts. The object being, to have him look into a matter of interest to him. Can you give me the information that will enable me to learn where he is? Very respectfully yours, Stewart Schenck [name mentions: Stewart Schenck Ferdinand de Lesseps Mr. Eiffel Courtney Schenck ]
