- My dear Sir: Yours of the 28th has just been recd. The maps you wish (and the only one you will find of value) is that published in 1875 by Gen. Comstock, corps of Engineers, U.S. Army then in charge, U.S. Survey of the Great Lakes &c. This gives contours and everything that Mr. Edison could wish. More recent maps of the locality are copies of these. Truly Your Verplanck Colvin
