- [D8920AAA], Letter from Edward Cary to Alfred Ord Tate, January 1st, 1889
- Editor's Notes
- "Mr. Perry, with whom I had the pleasure of visiting your laboratory this p.m., advised me to write to you about a cane I left in the library. If you could let one of your boys express it to be at the Hines 41 Park Row NY I'd be greatly obliged. It is a hickory stick with a gold plate inscribed "Joseph Cary & C," and is of little value except for associations. I enclose expressage."
