- I am in receipt of your very kind letter of introduction for which I am very much obliged. I am engaged in putting up a large plant for the Universal Exhibition here, and as yet, I have not had time to present it to Major Hood, but when I arrive in London, if you will permit me, I will present myself. I see you have a gigantic exhibition here and can rest assured of a decided [---]. I saw a good many gentlemen but didn't recognize any of their faces. I received a letter from [---] who tells me that business is flourishing in Canada.
