Title
[D8920AAR], Letter from Benjamin F Stevens to Alfred Ord Tate, June 21st, 1889
Editor's Notes
I have sent you by express a package of 100 cigars, 50 of which are the same small ones of the new crop which I gave you a few of. The other 50 are my cigar man says equally as good. I hope you will take much pleasure in smoking them. They are mild & of good flavor but of course are not heavy enough for an after dinner cigar.##I enclose you a letter from Miss Spalding. She threatens to rob me of my photo of Mr Edison. Mr Dan Weld and Townsend would like to be remembered with [one?]. can you therefore say to Mr Edison with my warmest regards that I shall be pleased to receive 2 with his signature--one for Miss s. & one for Mr Weld & if you will send them by mail enclosed [on trim?] two pieces of board I will see that they are delivered.##Mr Field & I cannot too highly estimate your kind attention to us. I want you to know that we appreciate it & if it is in our power to reciprocate shall certainly do so.
