- Sorry to have missed saying good bye to you and Mrs. Tate. Will you kindly write that letter for me and get Mr. Edison's signature to it. Have been with the Edison interests since February 1883 excepting 8 months in 1887. Three years and a half as clerk and the remainder in electrical work. I leave for Chicago tomorrow night so please send it c/o Leonard & Izard at your earliest convenience. Am greatly indebted to you for your many kindesses and hope that if you come out as far west will look me up.
