- Many thanks for your letter of 11th January. I agree with you, that without seeing the machine, it is hard to request an opinion. That after the declaration of Col. L (?)at to hon. H. Clerval in Paris, last August, where so great fuss was made about it, it would be very desirable to have this invention reinvigorated by a man like the clearheaded and wonderful inventor TAE.
