Title
[D8923AAI], Letter from Albert Scheible to Alfred Ord Tate, April 29th, 1889
Editor's Notes
As a Cornell student I am working up a thesis on "The Magnetic Bridge and Its Applications." Could you give me a few more points as to TAE's Bridge, described in his paper before the A.A.A.S. two years ago. # 1. As to priority, between TAE and Mr. Eichenmeyer; when did the former conceive his, and what earlier forms, if any, did he build? # 2. Has the bridge ever been used, as suggested, for testing for flaws in links or shafts? # 3. Has TAE further developed the instrument in a practical form? # Or would he offer any suggestions which he did not have the time, or see fit, to follow out? If so, would of course keep you informed of any results obtained. # Thanking you in advance for such information as your time and inclination will permit. New name mention: Eichenmeyer
