- [D8929AAK], Letter from U.S. State Dept, William Eleroy Curtis to Thomas Alva Edison, August 24th, 1889
- Editor's Notes
- As you may have noticed by the newspapers, the Government of the US is to tender an excursion to the foreign delegates to the International American Congress, and take them to various points of interest throughout this country. The party will consist of about seventy-five gentlemen, among them the most distinguished statesmen of Central and South America. It is suggested that they will be interested in visiting the lab and works of TAE, and Sat, Nov 9, is the day set apart for that purpose. # I would like to learn from you the date of TAE's return, for our foreign friends will be as much interested in seeing him as the results of his genius; also which of his many places is the most interesting for us to visit.
