- We are in receipt of your favor of the 5th. Inst., and in reply beg to say that sample #506 appears too soft: #570 is better, as regards hardness, but is too brittle: #590 seems to have the same fault: #594 seems to be the best , but if anything, it is a little too soft. Of course it is somewhat difficult to judge of these compounds from such small samples. We are sending you about 5lbs of a Compound, which we use in large quantities. We would like you to try to render this non-inflammable.
