- Editor's Notes
- My dear Mr.Edison:--Mr. Brown's circular regarding the danger of alternating currents, which includes a copy of the Medico-Legal Society's report has been sent to the Mayors, members of city Goernments, Insurance men and principle business men in every city and town over 5,000 inhabitants in the United States.##As a result every mail brings him a pile of letters from all over the country asking for all sorts of information and advice. These enquiries are followed up and in two or three different towns he has been requested by the Mayor to visit them and make an examination of exhisting plants, take electrical measurements with a iew to determining leakage &c. and generally advise them in regard to the danger &c. He will of course accept these invitations, and he has all the instruments neessary excepting a Photometer to measure arc lights. He tells me that you have such an instrument and wants to know if you could spare it for a short time. I know that you will recognize the importance of this and if you cannot spare the apparatus which you have, can you advise me where to go to get one? Yours very truly F. Hastings Secty & Treas,.
