Title
[D8933AAK], Letter from Harry Ward Leonard to Thomas Alva Edison, February 2nd, 1889
Editor's Notes
Dear Sir--Mr. Upton has gien me the batch of lamps whih you sent out, and I shall endeavor to get them entered in the test at the C.B.& Q. Mr. Upton suggests operating them at about 320 candles per electrical horse power. I will endeavor to place them in this way unless you have some other desire. Mr. Pierce, the expert who is conducting the test, is thinking of making micrscopical examination of the filaments of the various lamps, new and old. I told him I thought a good deal of work had been done in this line, but that I would find out from you in regard to the matter and learn whether it would be likely to lead to interesting results. Will you kindly let me know what has been done in this line, and what the prospect is of learning anything thereby? Yours very truly Harry Leonard
