Title
[D8933ABB], Letter from Louis Wertheimber to Thomas Alva Edison, May 2nd, 1889
Editor's Notes
L. Wertheimber & Co., importers of Japanese and Chinese Products New York, May 2nd 1889##Thomas A. Edison Esq##Llewelyn Park N.J##Dear Sir##In reading about Mr. McGowan's search after a certain kind of bamboo, it struck me that perhaps the Japanese loofah might be a substance that would be of use to you. It is an extremely tough, fibrous substance, presenting more resistance to chemical action than any other substance known. I enclose a small sample piece. Your obedient servan Louis Wertheimber
