Edison Electric Light Co.,####Executive Offices####T.A Edison, Esq., Edison Laboratory, Orange, N.J., Dear Sir:--####About ten days ago I wrote, at Mr. Wirt's suggestion, to Messrs. Bergmann & Co. stating that you were desirous of making an experiment of casting meter plates, and asked if tney could send you some material which could be used for that purpose. In their reply under date of Feb. 9th they suggest that you send them a requisition for such a quantity of zinc as you may need for this experiment.####We have already sent to Messrs. Bergman & Co. an outline of a modified meter plate, giving new dimensions in some respects; but this your Mr. Kennelly is familiar with.####Yours very truly, W.J Jenks, Director.####[Note scribbled at bottom: 10 lbs zinc ordered from Bergman's on reception of this by Mr. [Etdall?] 21.2.89, A.E.K####[name mentions: W.J Jenks, Bergmann & Co., Arthur Kennelly, Thos Edison,.
