- [This is an enclosure from the previous entry D8939ABW] Minutes of a meeting of the Board of Direcotrs of the Edison Lamp Co. held pursuant to call of the President, at the Edsion Laboratoy, Orange, N.J., on Wednesday, July 31st, 1889. Present, Thomas A. Edison, Francis R. Upton, Charles Batchelor, Samuel Insull, William Holzer.Mr. Edsion in the chair. It was moved by Mr. Insull that Mr. W. H. Meadowcroft be appointed Secretary pro-tem. This motion was seconded by Mr. Upton and carried unanimously.## Mr. Upton moved that Mr. Samuel Insull be appointed Assistant Treasurer of the Edison Lamp Company with the same powers as the Treasurer. This motion was seconded by Mr. Batchelor put to vote, and unanimously carried.##Mr. Insull moved that the President of the Company be authorized to endore all securities owned by the Company for the purposes of transfer an sale; and that the Treasurer or Assistant Treasurer be authorized to sell or exchange such securities as he in his discretion may decide. This motion was seconded by Mr. Holzer, and on being put to vote was unanimously adopted.##On motonthe meeting then adjourned, subject to the call of the Treasurer or Assistant Treasurer.
