- Mr. Gra Barnwall the Secretary of the Electrical Exhibition Committee of St. John MB has applied to the Honarable G.E. Lasteo minister of Finance to obtain permission in order to ensure the successs of the Electrical Exhibition that you should be allowed to bring into Canada a member of electric novelties which are patented in Canada and which under the Patent law cannot be imported. The Minister of Agriculture, who is ex-officer commissioner of Patents desiring to give effect if possibility to the request in Mr. Cormallis letter at once caused the question invaled to the referred to the Department of Justice for decision ,such question being one of lain, with an intimation that if the lain would permit, it was the desire of the minister to give effect to Mr. Cornwallis request. ## I enclsoe to you herewith a copy of the report of the depoty minister of justice
