- [from Paris] "We received the followoing from Messrs Drexel Harjes to under date of the 16th inst. 'Notify Edison Insull says Dr. Moss [Moses?] asking for position Electrical Commission New York Exhibition /92 is Westinghouse man all Edison people oppose Moss says you endorse it. Is this true? Hope not. Can I deny statement on your behalf and use your influence for P Roland. Matter very important you personally and general Edison business.' I confirm Mr. Edison reply: 'I do not endorse Moss consider his appointment would be most unfortunate use every effort to secure appointment of some one not indentified with commercial interests.'"
