I have been instructed by the Committee on Finance to transmit to you the enclosed Subscription Book, and ask you to circulate the same among the trade or profession you represent, and solicit subscriptions to the $5,000,000 guarantee Fund. The Committee also request that you send to the undersigned, at the Rooms of the Chamber of Commerce, No. 36 Nassau Street, for publication, a daily report of the subscriptions received.
